Made in the USA Serving Dishes
Most of my own serving ware is vintage, either passed down to me from my grandma or something I picked up at a garage sale or estate sale. Two of my favorites are the Robinson Ransbottom bowls made in Roseville, Ohio that I found in thrift stores (on 2 different occasions). I paid a whopping $16 for both of them! Yes, I about choked when I saw the first one sitting on the shelf. The $10 one is so big that I have four spaghetti squash in it with room for more. I also have some serveware made in the USA by Libbey Glass. I visit the factory outlet here in Toledo every year and something always ends up in my cart.
Serving dishes are fun for me to collect too. I like to change them out for the seasons and holidays along with my pillow covers, throw blankets, dish towels, and candles.
The collection of American made serving bowls, platters, charcuterie boards, cake stands, and other serveware found here often coordinates with the many USA made dinnerware and drinkware options we have listed in our American Made Brand Directories. You’re sure to find the perfect everyday serving dishes or heirloom serveware to pass on for generations.

Bennington Potters
Three boutique pottery collections are made exclusively for Dresden & Co. by Ohio Stoneware, one of America’s last remaining commercial pottery manufacturers. The American-made mixing and serving bowls, pitchers, salt & pepper shakers, crockery, and other serveware is fired at 2,200 degrees and designed to withstand daily use for generations. Each American Potters Collection piece is handcrafted with a hand-applied stripe detail reminiscent of centuries-old style.
Dresden & Company was founded when Longaberger closed its doors in 2018. The artisans were out of jobs, and the basket capital of the world needed employment opportunities. Jim Lepi had a desire to carry on the tradition and provide jobs to Longaberger artisans who were out of work, so he founded Dresden & Co. Today, the handmade basket-making tradition continues in Dresden where the company has expanded to include drinkware, dinnerware, bakeware, crockery, and other pottery made in Zanesville, Ohio along with American made kitchenwares, gourmet condiments, dips, jams, salsa, bread mixes, and other pantry goods.
Because I’m such a basket and pottery lover, an Ohio resident, and a huge proponent of keeping jobs in the USA, it just made sense that I become an independent Dresden & Company proprietor to connect with others like me, support an Ohio community, and give our readers access to handmade, heirloom quality baskets, pottery, kitchen utensils, and pantry goods sold exclusively via independent Dresden & Co. proprietors. I’d love for you to shop with me for your Dresden & Co. kitchen utensils and other home goods.

Toledo has acquired a few nicknames over the years but the most recognised remains “The Glass City” and we owe it all to Edward Drummond Libbey who moved Libbey Glass to Toledo, Ohio from East Cambridge, Massachusettes in 1888.
Libbey Glass has a factory outlet store downtown next to our Farmer’s Market that we visit every spring. I have the cake stand and wood lid serving bowls pictures below, both bought at the outlet. If you’re ever in town, the Edward Drummond Libbey House in the Historic Old West End is a National Historic Landmark that was built in 1885. Check it out.
Libbey Glass manufactures bakeware and drinkware alongside glass cake stands, serving bowls with storage lids, and other serveware.
(Libbey Glass headquarters and the Toledo manufacturing plant are important to American workers in the Toledo, Ohio area and our overall economy. However, please note that Libbey Glass does have manufacturing plants in Mexico, Portugal, and China as well.)
The Mosser family continues to own and operate Mosser Glass, a company that began in 1959 in an abandoned chicken coup. They combine new designs with timeless classics and craft serving ware, drinkware, dinnerware, and home decor. They invite you to visit their Ohio factory.
