Tea Made in the USA
Due to our climate, tea grown in the USA is generally limited to mint tea, black tea, white tea, youpon tea, chai tea, and Oola tea. American peppermint and spearmint teas often come from plants grown in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington and Oregon while other American teas are usually grown in the warmer climates of the Southeast and Hawaii.
Many American tea farms and facilities offer tea tours, tea tastings, and even workshops and classes to teach tea farming in the United States.
If the types of tea grown in the USA aren’t quite your cup of tea, you can always purchase teas of foreign origin from tea makers that process and package their tea in the USA and use American tea plants when possible.

Missing LarkinTea and Skirted Soldier.
You left out California grown tea since 2010, Golden Feather Tea.
Hi, Mike
Thank you. I’m looking at the website and can’t find how consumers can purchase Golden Feather Tea. Can you help me out?
Hello SJ, thank you for the help!
Unfortunately we reviewed both websites and Larkin Tea imports from a variety of countries. There was no information on the Skirted Soldier website so we reached out to them.
“ HI there. Tea is not able to be grown in the USA. Our climate is not conducive. We source our leaves in with trusted importers that use fair trade practices and source from sustainable organic farms from several countries.”
However, Skirted Soldier is veteran (and women) owned so if our community is looking for Tea types that can’t be grown in the USA, Skirted Soldier is a good option.
