At MadeInTheUSAMatters.com, our goal is simple: to make it easier for you to find and support products made in the USA. Every listing, guide, and brand feature on this site is guided by a clear set of standards.
How We Choose Products & Brands
We only feature brands and products that meet at least one of the following:
- Made in the USA – Manufactured, significantly assembled, or sewn in the USA.
- U.S. Manufacturing – Brands that keep a portion of their production in America, even if not every single item qualifies.
- Made in USA w/Qualifiers – Finished in the USA with transparent qualifiers according to the spirit of the FTC Made in USA standard.
We do not automatically exclude companies that manufacture some products overseas. Instead, we highlight the specific item or items they make here at home, with the hope that more brands will bring production back to the U.S.
In categories where there are few, or sometimes no, Made in USA products currently available, we use our editorial judgment to include the most relevant U.S.-connected options. This may include products assembled in the USA, or brands maintaining partial domestic production. These listings help guide readers toward the most American-made choices available today while encouraging more companies to invest in U.S. manufacturing.
Our Research & Verification Process
We verify product claims through:
- Brand websites and official statements.
- Labels and product packaging.
- Direct communication with the company when possible.
- Trade resources, manufacturing databases, and verified customer reports.
When information is unclear, we err on the side of transparency.
Editorial Independence
- We do not accept payment from companies in exchange for placement in our directories.
- Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we earn a commission if you make a purchase. This comes at no extra cost to you and helps support our mission. (Learn more.)
- Affiliate status does not influence whether we include a brand or product. American-made status is the first and most important factor in inclusion.
Commitment to Accuracy
We do our best to ensure every listing is accurate and up-to-date. While we work hard to research and update our listings, companies may move production or overseas or bring it back to the United States without widespread notice.
Because of this, Made in the USA Matters is intended to serve as a guide, not a guarantee. We encourage every consumer to check labels, product descriptions, and company information directly from the brand at the time of purchase to confirm manufacturing details.
If you notice an error, please leave a comment on the page that needs correction. Your input helps us keep the directory as accurate and complete as possible.
