📌 Frequently Asked Questions About Farm & Ranch Wear Made in the USA
General
Q: Are there really any western clothes still made in the USA?
A: Yes — but fewer than you’d think. A handful of brands still cut, sew, and finish their clothing in the U.S., while many others design here but produce overseas. Always check the product label, not just the marketing.
Q: Why do so many western brands say “USA” but aren’t actually made here?
A: Because “Designed in USA” or “American heritage brand” doesn’t mean Made in USA. Some companies hang onto their old reputation long after moving production offshore.
Brands People Often Think Are Made in the USA
Q: Is Wrangler made in the USA?
A: Most Wrangler jeans are now made overseas. The only exceptions are a few limited-edition Wrangler Rooted Collection styles, which use American-grown cotton and U.S. sewing facilities. Always double-check the label.
Q: What about Levi’s?
A: Levi’s left U.S. manufacturing years ago. Although their vintage pieces were made here, today’s jeans are made in factories around the world.

Q: Is Ariat made in the USA?
A: No. Ariat’s design offices are in California, but their boots and clothing are primarily made overseas. They do work with some U.S. partners for limited projects, but the brand isn’t considered Made in USA.
Q: Are Cinch or Cruel Denim American-made?
A: Both are owned by Miller International, based in Colorado, but production is mostly imported. The “Made in USA” tag rarely appears on new releases.
Q: Which Western brands are made in the USA?
A: A few names worth checking: Schott NYC, Round House, Duckworth, Ginew, and smaller boutique labels that still sew in-house. See the Big List above for verified brands.

Schaefer Outfitters needs to be removed as they are now manufacturing in India. Purchased from them for years until this. Sad.
Yes, they are importing many products. It is disappointing. They do continue to make jeans in the USA so we do list them with the description “A mix of foreign and domestically made men’s and women’s ranch wear. American made items are clearly marked American Made or Made in the USA.” We did edit to clarify jeans are generally still USA made. We really appreciate your help!
