Bernardin Canning Lids

While it is often believed that Bernardin is a Canadian company, Bernardin is actually in the United States. The misconception is understandable as Bernardin was at one time a Canadian canning company that promoted their products as American made. However, after a handful of changes and acquisitions, in the fall of 2001, all Canadian manufacturing was shut down completely and moved to the Ball plant in Muncie, Indiana. Denali Canning Lids (*Made in China)

Denali is a USA-based canning distributor offering regular mouth canning lids and regular mouth canning rings and wide mouth canning lids and wide mouth canning rings. However, their lids are currently made in China. Why are Denali Lids listed here then? Denali Canning is working toward bringing its manufacturing to the United States and we’re definitely in support of that! Some small levels of production and packaging are based in the Greater Philadelphia region, but their plan is to expand production further from the northeast and form larger presences with facilities in Midwest USA as well as further South. They intend to hire additional warehouse staff, machinists, managers, and more.

Golden Harvest canning lids are a subsidiary of Newell/Jardin and manufactured in the same United States plants as Ball and Kerr. Regular mouth canning lids and large mouth canning lids can be found online and at local retailers.

Kerr Canning Lids

Made in the USA, Ball and Kerr merged and are both entities of Jardin canning supplies and equipment. Both the lids and bands are the same with Ball more common in the Eastern United States and Kerr more common in the Western US. Kerr canning lids, bands, and jars are available at popular retailers and online.
